French is one of the two official languages of Canada, and the official language of the province of Quebec. French is required in almost all areas of Quebec, for both business and basic communication. A knowledge of French is also required for those that intend to immigrate to Quebec, in order to pass their immigration interview.
Both full-time and part-time French classes are offered at Tyark College and are available Monday through Friday as well as on the weekends. Upon completion of the class, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion indicated the level of proficiency he or she has reached. Our classes utilize the latest in technology to focus on reading, writing, and oral comprehension skills with qualified and experienced teachers. Students work both individually and in the group setting in order to improve the learning process. For faster learning, the full-time intensive program is recommended in order to absorb the language in as little time as possible.
